Our program embraces TCC's focus on open access and quality teaching to prepare our Associate Degree Registered Nurses for entry-level practice and for continued academic progression to meet their maximal professional potential.
Our program combines general and nursing education with clinical experiences in a variety of area facilities. All clinical experiences are supervised by experienced nursing faculty.
We encourage our graduates to transfer to 4-year universities to complete their bachelor's degree in nursing through enrollment in RN-to-BSN programs.
We offer in-person nursing courses on campus.
Nursing exams are computerized and given on campus.

Successful completion of this program requires a grade of “C” or better in all courses.
Introduction to the science of pharmacology with emphasis on the actions, interactions, adverse effects and nursing implications of drug classifications. Content includes the roles and responsibilities of the nurse in safe administration of medications with a legal/ethical framework. Associate degree nurse role assimilation is facilitated through the development of major concepts. Enrollment requires official acceptance into the Nursing Program.

$7,000: approximate cost of the program, including fees, uniforms, books, and supplies
After successfully completing our program, you are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN® (National Council Licensure Examination), which is administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).
Once you pass the NCLEX examination, you will get your Registered Nursing (RN) license.
Our Associate Degree in Nursing and Vocational Nursing programs meet the state education requirements for a nursing license in the state of Texas.
TCC has not determined if these nursing programs meet the state education requirements in any other state, any U.S. Territory, or the District of Columbia.
